Healthcare Support Business Development:

Locally Led, Locally Owned

The launching of locally owned businesses that support the healthcare system is a top priority for Relink Global Health. We have invested in the formation of Haiti Biomedical Solutions which is a Haitian owned for profit business that provides medical installation, training, and maintenance throughout Haiti. Our team has invested in educational training for Haitian biomedical professionals and in the hiring of apprentices to work with those that are trained to multiply and expand the knowledge base.

We are also finalizing a business model whereby the oxygen generation plants we are working with at 12 hospitals throughout Haiti can become self-sustaining through the sale of the oxygen they produce that is in excess to what they use at their own facility. This will be a huge leap forward for oxygen delivery in the country of Haiti.

Sharing Experience & Knowledge

Healthcare and non-profit management are rarely taught in formal ways as we would see in North America. As a result, many leaders are learning as they work. Understanding how to best work with international partners can be challenging for local leaders. Our team is dedicated to helping our partners understand processes for writing grants, managing procurements, generating timely reports, and reporting impact. All of these skills are necessary for growth and sustainability.

As part of leadership, we feel strongly about advocating for healthcare providers at the UN, State Department, USAID, and congressional levels. Delivering quality, consistent healthcare in these challenging and often dangerous environments requires communication between these key US leaders and local healthcare providers. Aggregating information via surveys is a powerful way to ensure local voices are heard. We conduct several surveys in Haiti every year and post them in our “Latest Updates” section.
